garter belts: for fun or function?

Garter belts.  Divine and ridiculously sexy.  There's something to be said about the mid-twentieth century and their knickers.  They were crazy sexy while not even trying and still functional?  Yes please.  So why have they gone by the wayside?  Why aren't suspenders used any longer?  I ask again, WHY NOT?!

Here's the thing, suspenders are no longer used for function, they're only used for fun...wink wink...but why aren't they produced for function?  This was my search.  I do believe that when a woman is wearing fun, flirty, sexy underpinnings, they feel better about themselves.  So I say, lets wear knickers that allow you to feel sexy, not uncomfortable or uneasy.

When the search began a while back, I purchased a pair of Victoria's Secret stockings along with a garter belt, only to find out that they were not at all functional.  In fact, they were extremely annoying!  Being short was a factor that didn't help as the straps were not short enough which led to the "pulling up" action all night long.  Bloody annoying!!  There is nothing worse than spending the entire night adjusting your outfit, like tube tops?  Don't even get me started...

After that, I decided to give up on garters as a functional and sassy part of my every day attire, until...the other day as I sat researching lingerie companies, I came across kiss me deadly.  This amazing company is vintage inspired, selling suspender sets that are not only sexy, but get this...functional.

Please, calm yourself, I got excited too.  I cannot wait to make a purchase to try out these garters to review them for my readers, to see if they really are as functional as they promise.  As soon as fall hits (because let's get real, I'm not wearing stockings in the summer!) I am all over the paradise longline girdle.  Or perhaps that sultry vargas multiway dress...I don't know!  All I can say for definitely is that I am ecstatic to have found a company that still produces functional, sexy vintage inspired lingerie.  Who could say no to that??

current obsession: i.d. sarrieri

Summer 2013 at I.D. Sarrieri was definitely something to be gawked at.  The designs were decadent and the shoot, even richer.  The gorgeous textiles and sexy while sensual lingerie is divine and would allow any woman to feel sublime.

Ahh!  Bloody gorgeous.  Love, love, love.  Notice the exquisite balance between hard and soft?  Right when you think that it's going to head in an overly feminine direction, you're pleasantly surprised by the quick change to a more masculine design detail.  Go to the sarrieri website to see more.  I'm sorry, it's just too heavenly.
